Nothing ever received but requests for further information. We bought this policy in good faith, none of which has been returned.

They delay and deny. It is October and we have had NO claims processed dating back to May. Collectors are breathing down our necks and these people could give a flying rat's patootie. They have yet to respond to any of our inquiries over the phone and again have paid NOTHING on any claim.

How many more ways should I mention these people are smug, unresponsive and will be receiving a letter from the Illinois Insurance Board very soon. Very, very soon.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $266000.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.

Meritain Health Cons: Being lied to.

Update: Nothing to report here, no correspondence from them, other than the reams of EOB's with the "a" notation (pending medical review). They say it will take until January 2018 to arrive at a determination.

There is a 45 day review limit in this state and they are well past that time. I know this because I asked the providers of record when they sent the requested information. They are flat out lying to me.

And over the weekend, I discovered that when I wish to log in to their online claims, they have suspended my access.

I suspect that part of the problem is that there were surgical complications and they are waiting for us to file a lawsuit so they can wash their hands of the whole thing.

I think we are up to 5 form letters now, warning us of the Dire Consequences of taking money from a lawsuit before they would get their money back. To which my response is: Blank you, pay up.

Tomorrow I will be on the phone first thing with them, advising them that January 2018 is beyond the time limit set for my state to adjudicate claims, so if they don't want to whip their snails a little bit faster, I will be happy to start now with questions about every piece of paper they have ever sent me.

I'm up to a couple inches of it now, if they won't pay my claims, I will be happy to spend their customer service budget. Day after day after day.
